Well, I went to the artist reception by myself, since I couldn't even convince my mom to come with me. :/ I ran into a few familiar faces, and enjoyed looking at the variety of photos, paintings, drawings and collages. And the best part was, I found mine:

So I wasn't allowed to enter both the pencil portraits I wanted to enter, because they both fell under exactly the same category, and I guess you're not allowed to enter more than one in the same category. >.< Last year I entered two, because one was technically a mixed media piece, cos I used an artist pen on the background of the piece. I'm going to go swimming today! YAY! The pool is finally open for lap swims! Noon to 1! WOOHOO!!!!

And after that I'm gonna go to the fair and turn in my entry forms for entering my art & photography. YAY!

Today is a great day. I was awoken this morning by a phone call from my love, which is always the beginning of a great day.

Umm, okay... I just looked at the mid-state fair website, and it says this:
